This page is the release record of the Symbian Toys catalogue. No software is distributed from here. The original download endpoint streamed files that no longer exist, the platform they ran on was discontinued in 2013, and reproducing binaries for a defunct system would be neither honest nor useful.

In September 2021 the project's author published the full source code of the catalogue on GitHub, which is where anyone who actually wants the software should go — see the author's GitHub account.

Archive notice. Symbian Toys was an independent hobbyist software project for the Symbian Series 60 platform, which Nokia discontinued in 2013. These pages contain the project's documentation. The software is no longer distributed here, and no support was ever offered for it. Device and platform names appear for identification only; the project was never affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any device manufacturer.

Guardian

The most heavily localised program in the catalogue: version 2.1 alone was published in ten languages, and 2.2 and 2.3 in English and Italian. See the Guardian page.

SISXplorer

FlashSMS, UnlockMe! and IconHider

Each of these is evidenced by a single distribution file in the archived records — a ZIP for FlashSMS and UnlockMe!, and a SISX installer for IconHider, which was the only one of the three that shipped as a signed 3rd Edition package.

Guardian Commander

A companion application, written by a community contributor rather than by the site's author, which put a graphical interface on Guardian's SMS plugin commands. It was published in MIDP 1 and MIDP 2 builds, in a single installation kit carrying English, Italian, Ukrainian and Russian.

Release record

The download endpoint took the wanted filename as a parameter. The release list records language suffixes, build qualifiers such as Lite, and platform targets where they formed part of the filename.

Source code

On 21 September 2021 the project's author published the source of the Symbian Toys applications on GitHub: Guardian, IconHider, FlashSMS, UnlockMe!, NokiaCooker, RomPatcher+, SISXplorer and the shared library they were built against. For a platform whose commercial support ended a decade ago, that release is a more durable outcome than any archive of installers would have been, and it is the reason this page points outward rather than pretending to serve files.
